I have been horse racing betting for as long as I can remember. I can remember when I started and man, was it very difficult. Back then, there weren’t websites on the Internet that gave you “handicapping 101” or “types of horse races” or “how to wager 101” or articles like that. I had to really learn from mistakes and my wins.
I wouldn’t say that I’m an expert nowadays. However, I can say that I am not as naive as I was before and I’ve already broken even with this hobby a long time ago. I’ve even regained my losses, although I wouldn’t say I haven’t lost a race from time to time.
I envy the new generation of horse racing bettors. I mean, I’m too old to upgrade myself anymore and I don’t have the patience to learn those computer-related things. Those are for the kids, not for old people like me. However, with the horse racing systems gaining popularity, the younger bettors prefer to bet and watch the races online. I mean, I still see several of them occasionally in the race tracks. Most of the time, though, it’s just me and some other old buggers left there watching. I go to the race tracks whenever I feel like making a wager or two. I do that rain or shine, just like the patriotic horse race bettor that I am.
My son doesn’t even go to the race tracks with me anymore. He just wants to stay home and use one of those online horse racing systems he has subscribed himself to. Well, I can drag him every now and then, but he prefers to watch the races in those tiny screens on his computer that for people like me, you’d have to squint to see it. He says there’s nothing that beats the comfort of home. He even says if he wins any of his bets, it gets automatically credited to his account. He doesn’t even have to collect it himself. I still don’t understand the whole idea of it, but if my son is having a blast at horse racing using these systems, then I guess, it’s quite worth it.

I’m a die-hard horse racing betting fanatic. I’ve been doing this for only heaven knows how long. When I started, it was a really great learning experience for me because it was just like learning how to walk for the first time. You read horse racing forms and you go to the tracks, watching the races live as they happen. And from that, you try to make your odds and make your bets with it. It’s no guarantee, but it was awfully fun! You stumble with your losses more than your winnings. But in the long run, you learn the “gut instinct” behind the endeavor.
Nowadays, there are horse racing software and online racing systems. I have tried these things myself and personally, they have their differences as they have their similarities. The similarities are that with both systems, you don’t have to go to the race tracks anymore. Even if it rains or shines, you can still make your wagers in the comfort of your own home. All the results are updated regularly, so you won’t miss any of the action at all. And losses and winnings are dealt with accordingly after each race.
They are similar with the fact that some websites that offer these services will either let you pay for it just one time or monthly. These payments are exclusive from the bets that you wager. So choose wisely.
However, the difference between the two is that with a horse racing software, you have the option to customize it so that you can just check every other day or whenever you want to for the results. You can even customize it to everything from making the odds, to betting, to crediting the winnings, and debiting the losses from your account. You don’t necessarily have to be there to make sure that you win.
On the other hand, you have to make the odds yourself, given the statistics, and make your wager out of it where online horse racing systems are concerned. Although, crediting and debiting from your account can also be done in online horse racing, it’s not as automated as a horse racing software. You really have to be online to watch the races and make the bets yourself.

Horse racing is getting mighty popular with the crowd these days, old and young alike. Whether you enjoy getting a quick buck or two, or if you enjoy the exhilaration brought about by the sport and betting on it, or you just don’t have any other past time which you like doing, that doesn’t matter as long as you know what you are doing and you are enjoying it.
However, if you do not know anything at all about this hobby yet you want to pursue it, then you better listen up! Horse racing tips are everywhere, if you have the tenacity to find it. If you’re lazy, you’re better off finding some other hobby to do. But if you’re serious, I might be able to give you some tips where you can find such tips.
Tips are quite valuable, especially if you are new. With these tips you can start building your gut instinct where betting in horse races are concerned. One of the most important places where you can find it is from your circle of friends. If you have friends who are into horse racing and they have had their share of winning (more winnings than losses, preferably), you can ask them for tips. They’re your friends and you share the same interests. Surely a good friend won’t keep even the most basic yet important tips he knows about horse racing from you. I’m sure he had other people giving him tips when he started out as well.
Last but not the least, another most important place for you to find these tips is the Internet. Yes, you read me right! The Internet is the largest virtual library you can find for these things. It might take more patience to do this, though, because there are a lot of websites on horse racing tips and most, if not all, of them are commercial. You have to pay for subscription for you to be able to access the website’s information. If you’re really persistent, though, a couple of these free horse racing websites are bound to come up!
